To support our growing customer base in the APAC region, we established new hosting in Australia. By allowing researchers to store their data locally, they can enjoy Castor’s features and functionality with lower latency, resulting in better performance. This also helps ensure compliance with regional privacy regulations so that researchers can instead focus on their research.
The Australian infrastructure is hosted on Microsoft Azure in its Australia East datacenter, and data at rest is always kept within the Australian borders. The Region has its own user database, which is separated from our the other databases located in Europe and the United States. Researchers can conduct studies in different regions of the world by creating accounts on our separate servers.
