“We should live our lives in a state of inclusion and wonder at the diversity of humanity.” – George Takei.

Diversity first

At Castor, we believe in pushing boundaries through direct communication and diversity.

Why? Because it takes people with different ideas, identities, backgrounds, values, and personalities to make the best accomplishments. This is how we live our day-to-day at Castor.

The evolution of PRIDE

Pride Month is dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQIA+ voices, a celebration of LGBTQIA+ culture, and the support of LGBTQIA+ rights. In recognition of the Stonewall riots and the demonstrations that took place the following year, June is officially recognized as Pride month. Pride Day is celebrated on June 28, marking the date in history when the first Pride march was held in New York City in 1970.

Putting PRIDE into action

Castors ‘Action Hours’ gave all Castorians the opportunity to educate themselves and celebrate during June. Promoting a culture of openness, we used our #celebrating-pride slack channel to champion each other and share ideas.

Celebrating PRIDE at Castor

#Celebrating-PRIDE

Our purpose-driven team used their action hours to read novels, watch documentaries, listen to podcasts, celebrate with friends and allies, and decorate their space. And more importantly, it continued to create an environment of inclusivity. One of our Castorians felt inspired to share their personal story!

The Castor LGBTQIA+ community

Castor is proud to have members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ on our team. We asked some of Castorian colleagues to share their thoughts on what makes a diverse and inclusive workplace.
